Key dates for winter tryouts
- Sun, Nov 29, 2026. The winter signing period opens for 12U–18U. Clubs approved by Volleyball Alberta may offer a Letter of Intent (LOI) from this date.
- 48 hours. First offers stay open for at least 48 hours.
- From Wed, Dec 2. New offers stay open for at least 24 hours.
- Nov 29, 2026. The 2026-27 indoor competitive club season starts.

Before the first tryout
- Get the Volleyball Alberta tryout membership. It's called "Youth Development Player – Tryout". Buy it on the Volleyball Alberta membership portal, not through a club. Current prices: Volleyball Alberta fees

If an offer comes: Read the club's refund policy before signing. Some clubs say fees can't be refunded after signing. An athlete who signs then upgrades to the "Youth Competitive Player – Indoor" membership. Current prices: Volleyball Alberta fees
